Cost Control Engineer

About the role

Saipem is seeking a Cost Control Engineer to join the PCON Department on the COMP5 Project in Doha. Reporting to the Lead/Manager, you will establish and manage cost control processes that enable the Project Manager to keep the project within the approved budget.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage a cost control system to support project decision‑making and keep the project within the approved budget.
• Monitor cost deviations, analyse impacts, and track corrective actions.
• Maintain cost awareness across the project team and ensure compliance with operating company and corporate reporting requirements.
• Implement the Cost Breakdown Structure, issue cost control procedures, and coordinate risk‑management activities including Monte‑Carlo analysis.
• Support contract changes and claims by providing cost impact analyses and updating forecasts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or construction discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost control or project controls.
• Proficiency in English.
