Cost Control Lead

About the role

The Cost Control Lead will provide cost management expertise for a high‑visibility, capital‑intensive project in Doha. The role involves developing cost estimating models, forecasting, and reporting to guide project decisions and ensure alignment with budget and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cost control procedures, WBS/CBS structures, cost coding, and databases throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts; advise cost centre owners and management on governance requirements.
• Prepare funding submissions (Advance Commitments, Full Funding, Supplementary Funding) and recommend budget transfers.
• Validate and reconcile contractor cost reports, invoices, and earned‑value analyses to ensure contractual compliance.
• Analyse cost performance, identify overruns early, and coordinate corrective actions with Project Controls and Management.
• Produce cost reporting dashboards, performance indicators, and executive reports for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Engineering, Project Management or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years in the Oil & Gas industry.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or oversight experience of contractors/sub‑contractors.
• Proven experience on major Owner‑side EPC projects, preferably with reimbursable or lump‑sum contracts.
