Cyber Security Certification Lead

About the role

The Cyber Security Certification Lead is responsible for steering the end‑to‑end delivery of national cybersecurity certification programmes and assurance services. This senior position translates strategic objectives into actionable projects, ensures consistent audit methodologies, and drives continuous improvement across certification operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of all certification services and programmes, from design to operation.
• Oversee certification review assessments and critical sector audits.
• Develop, monitor and enhance standardized audit methodologies, practices and certification standards.
• Translate department strategic direction into concrete projects and initiatives.
• Plan, prioritize and manage projects within the Certification Services portfolio.
• Provide solutions to challenges in assurance service delivery and promotion.
• Coordinate stakeholder interaction, public events and collaboration with internal and external projects.
• Mentor, manage and develop the certification team to improve service delivery.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Risk Management or related field, or at least 15 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in cybersecurity assessment, IT auditing or certification‑related roles.
• Strong background in cybersecurity governance, risk and compliance.
• Preferred certifications: CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer, COBIT, CRISC, CGEIT or similar.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of cybersecurity standards such as ISO 27001, NIA, COBIT and Common Criteria.
• Understanding of accreditation frameworks ISO 17021, ISO 17024, ISO 17025, ISO 17065 and ISO 27006.
• Experience developing standards, technical directives, SOPs and audit documentation.
• Strong risk‑management and compliance‑assessment capabilities.
• Proven project‑management skills delivering initiatives on time, within scope and budget.
