Deputy Project Director

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Project Director to lead facility operations for a leading sports facilities management company in Doha. The role oversees both hard and soft services, ensuring contract KPIs are met while maintaining a safe and efficient environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall facility operations, including building services, security, housekeeping, landscaping, pest control, turf management and system optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with contractual KPIs, environmental health and safety programmes, and ISO standards.
• Manage budgeting, financial planning and expenditure against the commercial team.
• Oversee staff, vendors and supplies, maintain CAFM data and generate monthly reports.
• Develop and implement SOPs, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement of facility systems.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or HVAC (additional business qualifications advantageous).
• Minimum 20 years total experience with at least 15 years in a senior facilities management role for a recognised regional FM provider.
• Proven leadership, contract management and budget management capabilities.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Experience using Computer‑Aided Facility Management (CAFM) systems.
• Strong budget and financial management skills.
• Contract administration and vendor management expertise.
