Draftsman

About the role

The Draftsman will produce accurate, construction‑ready drawings for Digital EPC projects, supporting ICT, telecommunications, structured cabling, ELV, security, audio‑visual, smart systems and data‑centre infrastructure. The role works closely with engineers, BIM coordinators and construction teams to ensure drawing quality, revision control and multidisciplinary coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare plans, sections, elevations, schematics, single‑line and riser diagrams based on approved engineering inputs.
• Produce detailed drawings for structured cabling, fiber networks, equipment rooms, racks, containment, telecommunications and ELV systems.
• Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical and civil disciplines to resolve clashes.
• Support BIM delivery by creating, updating and extracting coordinated information according to the project BIM execution plan.
• Incorporate design revisions, vendor data and site instructions while maintaining full revision traceability.
• Prepare shop drawings, equipment layouts, containment routes and installation details for site execution.
• Update as‑built documentation using verified red‑line mark‑ups and inspection records.
• Apply approved templates, symbols, layers and naming conventions and perform self‑checks before submission.
• Maintain drawing registers, native files and transmittal requirements through the document‑control system.
• Collaborate with engineers, vendors and project stakeholders to provide timely drawing support for procurement, construction, testing and commissioning.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years of digital drafting experience in engineering projects.
• At least 3 + years using industry‑standard CAD and BIM tools.
• Minimum 3 + years supporting EPC design and construction delivery.
• Diploma or associate qualification in Engineering Drafting, CAD, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or related field; a bachelor’s degree is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit and BIM software.
• Technical drafting and detailing for ICT, ELV and digital infrastructure.
• Understanding of structured cabling, fiber networks and data‑centre equipment.
• Multidiscipline coordination and drawing control/quality assurance.
