Engineering Technician

About the role

The Engineering Technician supports Marriott’s facilities team in Doha by ensuring that all property vehicles and related equipment are kept in safe, operational condition. This full‑time, onsite position involves routine inspections, maintenance tasks, and record‑keeping to uphold high standards of reliability and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform minor routine maintenance on property vehicles such as engineering trucks, shuttle vans and electric carts, including oil checks, fluid level verification, tire pressure monitoring, battery charging and spark‑plug replacement.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring proper cleaning, lubrication and functional readiness.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of maintenance parts and supplies, and requisition items as needed.
• Document daily operations, maintenance activities, safety checks and equipment malfunctions in logs and reports.
• Follow all company safety, security and environmental policies, report hazards, and complete required safety training.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum two years of hands‑on experience in vehicle or equipment maintenance.
• No supervisory experience required.
