Estimation & Tendering Director – EPC Projects

About the role

UCC Trading & Contracting is seeking an Estimation & Tendering Director to lead pre‑contract, bidding and commercial strategy for large‑scale EPC projects in Oil & Gas, Energy and Utilities. Reporting to the Executive Director/CEO, the role will shape winning bid strategies and drive successful project acquisitions across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all estimation and tendering activities for major EPC opportunities.
• Develop bid strategies aligned with business growth objectives and make bid/no‑bid decisions.
• Prepare and review cost estimates, pricing models and commercial proposals ensuring competitive, risk‑adjusted pricing.
• Manage multidisciplinary bid teams and ensure timely delivery of high‑quality technical and commercial proposals.
• Lead client presentations, negotiations and clarification meetings.
• Review EPC, EPCM, Design‑Build and FIDIC contracts, identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Mentor and develop estimation, tendering and commercial teams, establishing best practices and governance.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading estimation and tendering functions for major EPC contractors.
• Deep knowledge of Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Power Generation, Energy and Utility infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to develop winning bid strategies and manage high‑value tenders.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with senior clients, partners and consultants.
