Finance Specialist

About the role

The Finance Specialist provides accounting, time‑keeping, payroll and banking support for the site, ensuring compliance with the Performance Work Statement and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System. The role works closely with the PSO Finance department and other internal teams to process payments, manage cash, and generate financial reports.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare telephone and utility bills, reconcile charges, and process payments.
• Maintain the site petty‑cash fund and handle cash security.
• Manage time‑keeping in Deltek Costpoint, provide training for new hires, and ensure accurate charge coding.
• Prepare month‑end accruals, operational fund requests, and audit expense reports.
• Process checks, wire transfers, and maintain invoice logs and supporting documentation.
• Generate finance reports for the Site Manager and PSO Finance.
• Support payroll accounting, respond to vendor queries, and coordinate with Supply and Purchasing.
• Input, reconcile, and submit weekly and monthly Quicken data files.
• Maintain accounts payable vouchers for debit purchase cards and perform utility and bank runs.
• Prepare distribution correction vouchers for telecom services and provide updated salary files for payroll processing.
• Secure finance documents, office equipment, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of experience in a professional accounting environment with cash handling.
• Excellent organizational skills and intermediate English proficiency (read, write, speak).
• Valid driver’s licence in home country and ability to obtain a host‑nation licence.
• Ability to work overtime, travel domestically and internationally, and perform light to moderate lifting.

• Quicken data file preparation and reconciliation.
