Financial Advisor – Investment & Portfolio Management

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Advisor to deliver investment advice across portfolio management, opportunity appraisal, market‑making strategies and listing mandates. The role will provide data‑driven recommendations that grow client and Group assets while strictly complying with Qatar Financial Markets Authority regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain client investment plans, profile objectives, investment horizon, liquidity needs and risk tolerance; advise on asset allocation, document rationale and review plans periodically.
• Monitor portfolio performance against benchmarks, recommend rebalancing, review fees, liquidity and product suitability, and issue periodic reports to clients and management.
• Conduct fundamental analysis of financial statements, sectors, debt structures, cash flows and competitive positioning; develop DCF and multiples‑based valuation models.
• Source investment opportunities by tracking markets and news, assess feasibility, risk profile and fit with client objectives.
• Prepare investment memoranda covering thesis, catalysts, valuation, risks and recommendation; track positions after execution and revisit assumptions as conditions change.
• Measure risk‑adjusted performance and produce attribution analysis across allocation, security selection, timing and fees, providing clear improvement recommendations.
• Advise on market‑making strategies, offering technical views on pricing, liquidity and depth, and coordinate with Trading and Compliance.
• Support offering and listing mandates by advising on timing, improving financial ratios, assessing governance readiness and contributing to due‑diligence materials.
• Ensure all advisory activity complies with QFMA regulations, internal policies, information barriers, confidentiality and conflict‑of‑interest requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Investment or Accounting; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5–8 years of experience in asset/portfolio/wealth management, equity research, corporate finance advisory or investment banking.
• Strong command of accounting, financial analysis and capital markets with a proven track record in financial modelling, valuation, opportunity appraisal and performance measurement.
• Eligibility for registration and approval by the Qatar Financial Markets Authority and ability to complete two CISI certifications required by QFMA within 12 months of appointment.
• CFA charterholder or active progress through the CFA program.
