Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer to lead daily HSE activities across its facilities management operations in Doha. The role involves conducting site inspections, ensuring compliance, supporting incident investigations and fostering a culture of safe work practices.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out daily site inspections and hazard identification.
• Perform risk assessments and monitor Permit‑to‑Work systems.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with safety procedures.
• Deliver Toolbox Talks and conduct HSE inductions for staff and contractors.
• Support emergency response and coordinate incident and near‑miss investigations.
• Maintain accurate HSE documentation, records and reports.
• Monitor contractor compliance and report corrective actions.
• Promote continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Required profile

• Diploma, certificate or technical qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably within facilities management, cleaning services, waste management, construction or similar environments.
• Strong communication, teamwork and reporting abilities.

Required skills

• NEBOSH International General Certificate.
• IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent).
• First Aid certification.
• Fire safety training.
• Risk assessment competence.
• Toolbox Talk delivery.
• Work Permit control knowledge.
• Incident reporting experience.
