Health, Safety & Environment Manager

About the role

A leading organization is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager to lead HSE operations across a large‑scale facilities management contract in Doha. The role involves ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards while fostering a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the project’s HSE Management System.
• Ensure compliance with company, client and statutory HSE requirements.
• Lead risk assessments and hazard identification activities.
• Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Manage emergency preparedness and response plans.
• Oversee contractor HSE compliance.
• Lead internal and external HSE audits.
• Monitor KPIs and prepare monthly HSE reports.
• Deliver HSE training and awareness programmes.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and regulatory authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant HSE experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Experience in facilities management, industrial operations, logistics, warehousing, food storage, or port operations is desirable.

Required skills

• NEBOSH International General Certificate (mandatory).
• ISO 45001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor.
• ISO 14001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor.
• Training in Risk Assessment, Incident Investigation, Emergency Response, Fire Safety, and Permit‑to‑Work systems.
