Instrumentation Supervisor

About the role

The Instrumentation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation assets, guiding Technical Officers and Technicians, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the facilities management department.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the team performs assigned maintenance tasks correctly and on schedule, including preventive maintenance (PPM) and corrective work.
• Train and mentor staff on maintenance procedures, asset knowledge, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, providing direction and ensuring quality of their work.
• Report defects, breakdowns, and spare‑part needs to engineers and the FRC.
• Maintain compliance with company HSEQ standards, client regulations, and statutory training requirements.
• Develop and manage method statements, risk assessments, and COSHH documentation.
• Escalate equipment or tool shortages and any safety incidents to the line manager.
• Support special projects assigned by the line manager and assist in audit documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of relevant maintenance experience in a comparable facility.
• Familiarity with regulations such as OSHA, MSDS, NFPA, and BS.
• Strong team‑building, problem‑solving, and dispute‑resolution abilities.
• Proven training skills and the ability to work with personnel at all organizational levels.
• Capability to establish work priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively.
