Insurance Manager

About the role

The Insurance Manager will lead the organization’s corporate insurance function, ensuring that coverage aligns with business needs and risk appetite. Reporting to the CFO, this role provides strategic advice to senior leadership while overseeing day‑to‑day insurance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, analyse, and evaluate existing corporate insurance requirements.
• Implement insurance reporting for the C‑Suite, Audit Committee, and Board.
• Advise business units on risk mitigation and control effectiveness.
• Lead insurance committee engagements and submit recommendations for approval.
• Coordinate training and awareness briefings for staff, directors, and senior management.
• Maintain relationships with external insurance providers and advisors to ensure high‑quality service.
• Explore self‑insurance and captive arrangements to achieve cost savings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 8–10 years of corporate insurance experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of insurance programmes, techniques and products.
• Professional qualifications such as FCII, ACII or equivalent (advantageous).
• Excellent written communication skills; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
• Control‑oriented mindset with experience in value creation for stakeholders.
