Key Account Director – Telecom Account Management

About the role

The Key Account Director will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities with Ooredoo, becoming a trusted advisor and partner to the client. The role includes overall pipeline management, forecasting, demand generation and meeting agreed KPI and financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Ooredoo account.
• Build, nurture and grow strategic relationships to deliver new business.
• Understand client needs and create strategies that address both the customer proposition and the broader competitive environment.
• Leverage ZTE resources to proactively present relevant propositions and drive incremental opportunities.
• Manage pipeline, forecasting and demand generation to achieve personal and financial targets.
• Travel globally as required to support account activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the telecom sector, including work with Tier 1 carriers and Ooredoo.
• Fluent in Arabic and English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Clear stakeholder‑engagement approach supported by a communication plan.
• Self‑reliant, proactive and able to work independently.
• Ability to translate technical solutions into business and financial benefits for the customer.
• Willingness to travel globally.

Required skills

• Strong technical understanding of mobile network technologies.
