Lecturer – Mathematics

About the role

The University of Doha for Science and Technology seeks a Lecturer in Mathematics to teach first‑ and second‑year courses within its General Education Curriculum. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality, student‑centered instruction across a range of foundational mathematics subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Teach a variety of mathematics courses, including Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre‑Calculus, Calculus I & II, Statistics, Linear Algebra, Numerical Problem Solving, Numerical Methods, and MATLAB programming.
• Design and deliver student‑centered teaching materials, authentic assessments, and learning supports.
• Develop technology‑enhanced learning environments and manage resources such as the university’s Learning Management System and online/off‑line materials.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics from a recognized institution.
• Minimum three years of full‑time teaching experience at upper secondary, post‑secondary, or higher‑education level.
• Post‑graduate certificate in education or equivalent is desirable.

Required skills

• MATLAB programming
• Proficiency with the university’s Learning Management System (LMS)
