Legal Specialist

About the role

The Legal Specialist will support Vodafone Qatar’s business operations by ensuring legal compliance and providing sound legal advice. This role involves drafting and reviewing documents, conducting legal research, and advising internal stakeholders on risk mitigation. The specialist will work closely with the Legal Director and other department heads to align legal practices with corporate standards and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate internal and external communication drafts and ensure legal documentation aligns with Vodafone Qatar standards and local law.
• Review legal documents, conduct legal research, and provide advice to business units and department heads.
• Support drafting, negotiating, and advising on business‑critical operational projects.
• Advise stakeholders on legal risks and resolution strategies, especially when customer terms deviate from standard contracts.
• Assist in evaluating and preparing submissions related to proposed legislation and regulation.
• Ensure contracts and agreements comply with local regulations.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law (post‑graduate degree preferred).
• 2–3 years of corporate/commercial legal experience in a large corporation or private practice, preferably within the telecom sector.
• Fluency in both English and Arabic.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
