Licensed Aircraft Engineer B1

About the role

The role involves performing, supervising, troubleshooting and certifying aircraft maintenance activities under a valid B1 Aircraft Maintenance License. The engineer ensures safety, airworthiness and regulatory compliance for commercial aircraft based in Doha.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and certify scheduled and unscheduled maintenance within B1 license privileges.
• Carry out hands‑on base maintenance inspections, defect rectification and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, powerplant and aircraft systems.
• Diagnose and resolve defects, conduct functional checks and ensure aircraft serviceability.
• Supervise mechanics and technicians, providing technical guidance and on‑the‑job support.
• Complete accurate maintenance records and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Control, Engineering, Quality and other departments.

Required profile

• Valid B1 Aircraft Maintenance License issued by EASA, QCAA or an ICAO‑recognised authority.
• Minimum five years of aircraft maintenance experience, including hands‑on base maintenance.
• Current type rating for relevant aircraft types (A320 Family, A350, A380, B777, B787 preferred).
• Strong knowledge of aircraft mechanical, electrical, powerplant and system maintenance procedures.
• Proficiency in approved maintenance data, regulations and documentation.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
