Licensed Aircraft Engineer – Heavy Maintenance B2

About the role

We are seeking a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B2) to lead heavy‑maintenance activities for our main fleet in Qatar. The successful candidate will ensure aircraft and component work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute assigned maintenance tasks in line with Qatar Airways procedures.
• Review and improve work procedures, standards, and tooling requirements.
• Release final work for mechanics and guarantee compliance with dispatch reliability targets.
• Provide technical support to internal and external customers and resolve on‑site technical issues.
• Mentor, coach, and train technicians and mechanics, ensuring workmanship quality.
• Supervise work crews, enforce correct tool usage, and maintain serviceability standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 48 months of relevant aircraft maintenance experience.
• Either a high‑school/vocational qualification with 5 years experience or a bachelor’s degree with 4 years experience.
• Valid ICAO/QCAA license and approvals for the main fleet.
• Heavy‑vehicle driving licence to support maintenance tasks.
• Strong managerial, mentoring, and teamwork abilities.
