Licensed Aircraft Engineer – Light Maintenance B1

About the role

We are seeking a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1) to perform light maintenance on Qatar Airways’ main fleet. The successful candidate will work within the operational plan, ensuring aircraft and component serviceability while meeting the airline’s reliability and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute light maintenance tasks on assigned aircraft in accordance with Qatar Airways and customer procedures.
• Review work procedures, propose improvements, and ensure final release of completed work.
• Maintain aircraft serviceability standards to meet schedule requirements and dispatch reliability.
• Provide technical support to internal and external customers and resolve technical problems within authority.
• Supervise a team of mechanics or technical assistants, delivering on‑the‑job training and ensuring compliance with technical and safety manuals.
• Prioritise work, allocate resources efficiently, and monitor quality of workmanship and tool usage.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Eng. or BSc) or equivalent in aircraft engineering.
• Minimum four years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience.
• At least one full Qatar Airways main‑fleet ICAO/QCAA licence.
• For internal applicants, a minimum of one year of certifying experience as EN.01.
• Proven ability to lead a team, plan work, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
