LOTO Supervisor

About the role

The LOTO Supervisor will lead all Lockout/Tagout activities on a large industrial project in Doha, ensuring safe isolation of hazardous energy sources and compliance with Qatar safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate LOTO procedures for electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and other energy sources.
• Verify isolation points, lock and tag equipment, maintain registers and certificates, and confirm zero‑energy conditions before work starts.
• Conduct toolbox talks, briefings and training for personnel involved in isolation activities.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Operations, HSE and Commissioning teams to align isolation plans with Permit‑to‑Work requirements.
• Monitor field work, stop unsafe activities, and participate in safety audits, inspections and incident investigations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related diploma.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising LOTO activities on industrial, oil & gas, power, water‑treatment or desalination projects.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar HSE regulations and international electrical safety standards.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, single‑line diagrams and isolation plans.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
