Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, preventive maintenance and repair of tools, equipment and building systems at Marriott’s Conference Centre in West Bay, Doha. This role ensures safety, reliability and guest satisfaction through effective maintenance management.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and perform preventative maintenance on tools, appliances and equipment.
• Calibrate controls, gauges and meters; locate and operate shut‑off valves.
• Order, label, stock parts and manage inventory and purchase order logs.
• Conduct life‑safety checks, including fire‑pump and generator run tests, and inspect fire‑sprinkler valves and alarm systems.
• Assist in developing disaster‑response protocols and respond to guest repair requests.
• Support management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching maintenance staff.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies; report hazards and complete required safety training.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb, reaching overhead, and operating a power lift.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum 2 years of related maintenance experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Preventive maintenance and equipment calibration.
• Power lift operation.
• Fire‑pump and generator testing.
• Fire‑sprinkler valve and alarm system inspection.
• Inventory management and parts ordering.
• Use of computers for maintenance record entry.
