Manager, Safety Management System (SMS)

About the role

Qatar Airways is seeking a Manager for its Safety Management System (SMS) to lead the implementation and continuous improvement of safety processes within the Technical Division in Doha.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, administer and maintain safety management processes across the Technical Division to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Promote the safety policy and foster a positive safety culture in coordination with Technical Management.
• Implement and monitor safety performance measurement programmes and key safety indicators.
• Facilitate hazard identification, risk assessment and risk mitigation actions.
• Provide periodic safety performance reports to the Safety Action Group and Safety Review Board.
• Document and maintain safety management processes, ensuring conformity with applicable regulations.
• Ensure safety training meets standards and incorporates human‑factor findings.
• Lead safety communication initiatives and support the Safety Action Group in reviewing actions and promotions.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Head of Department.
