Mechanical Quantity Surveyor – Oil & Gas Shutdown Project

About the role

Jerry Varghese Consultancy is seeking a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join an Oil & Gas shutdown project in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on quantity surveying activities for mechanical works throughout the shutdown execution phase.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quantity take‑offs and measurements for all mechanical items on the shutdown project.
• Prepare and review mechanical bills of quantities, cost estimates and tender documents.
• Coordinate with the commercial team to ensure accurate pricing and variation management.
• Maintain up‑to‑date project documentation related to mechanical scopes.
• Support the project team in tracking progress and reporting on mechanical work status.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in oil & gas or shutdown projects.
• Hands‑on experience in mechanical quantity surveying.
• Strong understanding of mechanical works, quantities and related documentation.
• Good commercial coordination and documentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
