MEP Draftsman – Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Drafting

About the role

The MEP Draftsman will create, develop and update detailed Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) drawings for projects in Doha. Working with AutoCAD, Revit and other BIM tools, you will produce shop, coordination and as‑built drawings that meet project specifications and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP shop drawings for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire‑fighting, electrical, ELV and BMS systems.
• Develop coordination drawings that integrate architectural, structural and MEP disciplines.
• Produce builders work drawings, reflected ceiling plans, sections, schematics and installation details.
• Update as‑built drawings based on site modifications and final installations.
• Create material layouts, equipment layouts, riser diagrams and service coordination drawings.
• Review consultant drawings, tender documents and specifications to identify drafting requirements.
• Collaborate with MEP engineers, project engineers, site engineers, consultants and subcontractors to resolve design clashes.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions and take field measurements.
• Support BIM clash detection activities and respond to RFIs and technical queries.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidates with at least some experience in MEP drafting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and BIM software.
• Ability to work on‑site, attend coordination meetings and perform field measurements.
