MYP Mathematics Teacher

About the role

Nord Anglia Education is seeking a passionate MYP Mathematics Teacher to join Etqan Global Academy (EGA) in Doha, Qatar. You will inspire students to think mathematically, connect concepts to real‑world contexts, and develop a love for mathematics within the IB framework.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver concept‑driven Mathematics lessons aligned with the IB MYP curriculum and global contexts.
• Design inquiry‑based, differentiated learning experiences that engage all learners.
• Assess student work using MYP Mathematics criteria and provide constructive feedback.
• Develop interdisciplinary units that link Mathematics with real‑world applications and other subject groups.
• Embed ATL skills development and support students’ preparation for MYP eAssessment.
• Track progress with data‑driven interventions.
• Fulfill Form Tutor duties and contribute to the pastoral life of the school.
• Participate positively in the Mathematics department and the wider school community.

Required profile

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, B.Ed or equivalent) and a degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
• Proven experience teaching Mathematics in an IB MYP school.
• Strong knowledge of the MYP Mathematics curriculum, assessment criteria and eAssessment.
• Ability to plan and deliver inquiry‑based, differentiated lessons.
• Data‑driven approach to monitoring student progress.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
