Network Security Specialist

About the role

The Network Security Specialist is responsible for operating and maintaining the organization’s network security infrastructure. This includes responding to incidents, supporting shutdown procedures, and managing vulnerability remediation on security devices while meeting business user requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install, and configure network security equipment such as firewalls, IPS, VPN, proxy servers, and web application firewalls.
• Monitor network performance and security logs to detect and resolve issues before they impact services.
• Provide hands‑on troubleshooting for connectivity problems and security incidents.
• Document network architecture, configurations, protocols, and security policies for future maintenance.
• Support continuous operation of critical security technologies, including DNS security, multifactor authentication, AAA, and mail gateways.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in asset inventory, network security, and vulnerability management.
• Proficiency with ITSM tools, specifically BMC‑Remedy.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent activities and prioritize effectively.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, MS Visio, and MS PowerPoint.
