Night Shift Supervisor (Front Desk)

About the role

The Night Shift Supervisor (Front Desk) ensures smooth operations during the night hours at a busy hotel. You will manage guest check‑ins, handle cash and reports, and coordinate with other departments to resolve guest requests.

Key responsibilities

• Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system.
• Review shift logs and document pertinent information.
• Contact appropriate departments (e.g., Bellperson, Housekeeping) to resolve guest issues.
• Process all guest check‑ins, verify identity, request payment, assign rooms, and issue keys.
• Sell rooms without reservations when available and ensure rates match market codes.
• Scan and charge outlet checks to guest rooms.
• Assist management with training, evaluating, counseling, and motivating staff.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete safety training.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and adherence to company policies.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and answer phones courteously.
• Perform physical duties such as standing, walking, and lifting objects up to 25 lb.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.
