Occupational Health Doctor

About the role

The Occupational Health Doctor will deliver high‑quality medical and occupational health services to Qatar Airways staff, ensuring compliance with international standards and Qatar Ministry of Public Health regulations. You will act as a key advisor to senior management on health‑related matters and support the development of a robust occupational health programme.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Doctor in analysing organisational health needs and shaping an effective Occupational Health service.
• Provide pre‑employment medical assessments, fitness‑to‑work advice and guidance on existing medical conditions.
• Deliver clinical consultations, prescribe medication where appropriate and refer patients to specialist care.
• Promote employee health through training, health‑promotion initiatives and preventive care.
• Participate in clinical governance, audits, teaching and supervision of the occupational health nursing team.
• Maintain confidentiality, record‑keeping and compliance with national prescribing guidelines.
• Report incidents and near‑misses, uphold practice standards and retain registration with the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners.

Required profile

• Medical degree with specialist qualification in Occupational Medicine or equivalent.
• Current registration with the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) or ability to obtain it.
• Proven experience delivering occupational health services in a corporate or aviation environment.
• Strong understanding of Qatar Ministry of Public Health standards and clinical governance.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with management and multidisciplinary teams.
