Operation Helper – Forklift & Bobcat Licensed

About the role

The Operation Helper supports daily plant activities in a water‑treatment facility, ensuring smooth start‑up, shutdown and normal running of units. The role requires operating basic equipment under supervision and assisting the control room team with monitoring and data collection.

Key responsibilities

• Assist control‑room operators with plant start‑up, shutdown and routine operation, including operating pumps, valves and filters under supervision.
• Perform field patrols to inspect pumps, pipelines, tanks, filters and chemical dosing systems, reporting leaks, abnormal noises or equipment faults.
• Take operational readings (flow, pressure, level, conductivity, pH) and record them in log sheets or digital SCADA systems; collect water samples for laboratory analysis.
• Support the maintenance team during repairs and shutdowns, clean equipment and work areas, and carry out minor mechanical tasks such as lubrication and tightening.
• Assist with safe handling, dilution and dosing of treatment chemicals, ensuring proper storage and labeling.
• Maintain cleanliness of the plant, manage waste and perform general housekeeping duties as assigned.

Required skills

• Forklift operation with valid license (minimum 3 years experience).
• Bobcat/skid‑steer operation with valid license (minimum 3 years experience).
• Material handling, loading and unloading of supplies.
• Basic equipment inspection and preventive maintenance.
• Site preparation and warehouse support.
