Operation Helper (With Forklift & Bobcat Licenses)

About the role

The Operation Helper will support daily plant operations at a water treatment facility, assisting control‑room operators and ensuring safe, efficient running of equipment. The role requires hands‑on work with forklifts and bobcats, as well as basic maintenance and chemical handling under supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Assist control‑room operators in daily plant operations and support start‑up, shutdown and normal running of plant units.
• Perform routine patrols, checking pumps, pipelines, tanks, filters and chemical dosing systems, and report any leaks, abnormal noise, vibration or equipment faults.
• Take operational readings (flow, pressure, level, conductivity, pH), record data in log sheets or digital systems and collect water samples for laboratory analysis.
• Assist the maintenance team with cleaning, lubrication, minor mechanical tasks and changing consumable parts such as cartridges and filters.
• Support safe handling, dilution, storage and labeling of treatment chemicals under supervision.

Required skills

• Forklift operation and material handling (licensed, 3 years experience).
• Bobcat/skid‑steer operation (licensed, 3 years experience).
• Loading and unloading materials, site preparation and cleaning.
• Basic equipment inspection and safe lifting/manual handling.
• Warehouse and construction‑site support while following safety procedures and PPE requirements.
