Packaging Operator

About the role

We are seeking a Packaging Operator to join our production team. The role involves operating and maintaining packaging equipment to ensure products are packaged safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will work in a fast‑paced environment, adhering to quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, calibrate and operate packaging machinery according to company standards.
• Inspect final products, including seals, labels and packaging materials, to verify quality and safety specifications.
• Perform routine cleaning, troubleshooting and minor repairs on equipment to minimise downtime.
• Complete production documentation such as logs and reports detailing output and any issues.
• Follow all safety protocols (e.g., OSHA) and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Manage inventory of packaging materials and move finished products to designated storage areas.

Required profile

• Manual dexterity to perform repetitive handling and sorting tasks.
• Technical aptitude for learning and operating automated machinery.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate labeling and packing.
• Physical stamina for standing long periods and moving products.
• Effective communication skills for teamwork and reporting issues.
