Part‑time Consulting Project Adviser (Information Systems)

About the role

Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar seeks part‑time Consulting Project Advisers to support undergraduate Information Systems consulting projects for the Spring 2027 term. Advisers guide student teams working with real clients, providing mentorship without delivering lectures.

Key responsibilities

• Advise 3‑4 student teams throughout the 16‑week semester.
• Attend weekly 75‑minute in‑person class meetings.
• Participate in all‑adviser meetings each week.
• Join occasional additional meetings with student teams or faculty as needed.

Required profile

• Hold a Ph.D. or master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated deep experience in advising, managing, directing, and overseeing software development projects.
• Solid background in Information Systems consulting or project management.
• Ability to let student teams lead while offering guidance and encouragement.
