Payroll Accountant Assistant

About the role

The Payroll Accountant Assistant will support the Finance Manager in processing payroll for Qatar Fabrication Company, its subsidiaries, joint‑venture partners and seafarer staff. The role ensures accurate, timely payments and compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and generate payroll‑related reimbursement claims, loans, advances and annual benefit entitlements.
• Process monthly regular payroll for Nakilat, joint‑venture companies, subsidiaries and seafarers, coordinating with Marine Personnel and Treasury.
• Track employee advances, calculate deductions and ensure correct payments.
• Reconcile the general ledger with payroll‑related transactions and record monthly provisions for end‑of‑service benefits.
• Calculate pension fund transfers for Qataris and GCC nationals after obtaining approvals.
• Update and process additional claims such as air tickets and leave bonuses in SAP.
• Coordinate per‑diem and advance payments in line with company policies.
• Generate internal orders and invoices for joint‑venture payroll and time‑writing services.
• Assist in final settlement preparation and support internal and external audit activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 2‑3 years of payroll or accounting experience, preferably in a similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations in Qatar and the GCC.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP Payroll.
• Proficiency in SAP HR.
