PE Teacher

About the role

The school is seeking a dedicated Physical Education Teacher to deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate PE lessons for students across primary and secondary phases. You will foster physical, social and emotional growth while promoting a safe, inclusive environment that encourages participation and personal improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver PE lessons that cater to a wide range of ages, abilities and learning needs.
• Integrate age‑appropriate digital tools such as fitness trackers and video analysis to enhance learning.
• Maintain high expectations for effort, behaviour and sportsmanship in line with school policies.
• Collaborate with the PE team to develop a coherent, sequential curriculum aligned with international best practice.
• Assess student progress using formative and summative methods and provide constructive feedback.
• Lead school sports teams, organise tournaments, inter‑house competitions and whole‑school events.
• Identify and support talented students, creating pathways for further development.
• Ensure health and safety standards are upheld in all indoor and outdoor facilities, conducting daily equipment checks.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions and whole‑school initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience teaching PE across primary and secondary phases.
• Ability to adapt activities for diverse learners, including SEN and EAL students.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive and motivating learning environment.
• Strong organisational skills for curriculum planning, assessment and event coordination.
