Procurement Engineer

About the role

The Procurement Engineer will lead all procurement activities for the Dukhan project, ensuring that material and service requirements are met on time and within budget. Based on the Dukhan site, the role works closely with the Dukhan Programme Manager and the Qatar Branch Office Procurement Officer to coordinate sourcing strategies and keep stakeholders informed.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a Dukhan‑specific Procurement Plan in line with BAE Systems governance.
• Act as the primary procurement focal point for on‑site FSRs, monitoring contractual performance and delivering monthly performance reports.
• Provide value‑for‑money analysis of supplier performance and suggest cost‑saving measures for future negotiations.
• Maintain proactive communication with department managers to capture emerging requirements and propose alternative solutions.
• Coordinate with the Qatar Branch Office Procurement Officer and BAE Systems procurement functions to ensure alignment and timely execution of procurement activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months of procurement experience, preferably in an industrial or construction environment.
• Experience working on large‑scale projects and reporting to programme managers.
• Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders and manage supplier relationships.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on cost efficiency.
