Procurement Expeditor

About the role

Airswift is looking for an experienced Procurement Expeditor to support a major oil & gas client in Qatar. The role involves managing end‑to‑end procurement activities for EPIC projects, ensuring timely delivery, cost control, and compliance with project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive procurement management for EPIC projects, delivering on schedule and budget.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies for long‑lead items and contractor scope.
• Monitor engineering requisitions, changes, and their impact on procurement and delivery.
• Research international markets, evaluate vendors, and conduct audits to maintain a Preferred Vendor List.
• Coordinate with contractor buyers, expeditors, and inspectors throughout the procurement phase.
• Prepare procurement status reports and support project services leadership.
• Evaluate vendor performance and resolve procurement‑related issues promptly.
• Contribute to the improvement of procurement policies, strategies, and control procedures.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Engineering from an internationally recognized university.
• Minimum 12 years of procurement experience on major offshore oil & gas projects.
• Experience with EPIC project execution, preferably in the Gulf region.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to conduct vendor shop and supplier site visits.
