Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist supports Mowasalat’s vision of delivering agile, safe, and sustainable transport solutions by ensuring efficient, timely, and cost‑effective procurement of goods and services. The role manages end‑to‑end purchasing activities, maintains strong supplier relationships, and contributes to continuous improvement of procurement processes.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with organizational policies.
• Select and evaluate vendors based on price, quality, quantity, and delivery requirements.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders to guarantee timely delivery and mitigate risks.
• Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and support supplier performance evaluations.
• Assist in inventory management, monitor movements, and implement practices to ensure record accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, identify procurement risks, and support business continuity plans.
• Prepare procurement reports, analyse data for trends, and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive data and uphold governance standards.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in procurement or a related discipline.
• Preferred certifications: Certified Procurement Professional (CPP), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM).
