Project Controls Director

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Director to lead the controls function across a portfolio of large‑scale developments. You will be responsible for ensuring robust planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management and performance monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Project Controls function across multiple projects and business units.
• Establish and maintain project controls policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Oversee planning, scheduling, cost control, progress measurement, risk management and reporting activities.
• Monitor performance against approved baselines and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop executive‑level dashboards, KPIs and performance reports.
• Integrate planning, cost, commercial, procurement and construction teams.
• Lead forecasting, budget monitoring and change management processes.
• Identify risks and opportunities and support mitigation strategies.
• Provide strategic advice to senior management on project delivery.
• Build and mentor high‑performing project controls teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Project Controls, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience on mega‑projects, mixed‑use developments, hospitality, infrastructure or large‑scale construction.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, PSP, AACE or equivalent are preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Proficiency with Power BI for reporting and dashboards.
• Experience with project controls systems and Earned Value Management (EVM).
