Recreation Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and self‑motivated Recreation Manager to lead the leisure club operations at City Centre Rotana Doha. You will oversee all aspects of the facility, from membership management to staff training and activity programming.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure optimum membership levels and continuously monitor them.
• Train all employees to meet established standards.
• Coordinate fitness assessments and provide members with individualized exercise programmes and safety instructions.
• Engage specialized instructors (e.g., tennis, water sports) and verify their professional qualifications and interpersonal skills.
• Maintain all areas, including locker and shower rooms, in spotless and hygienic condition.
• Enforce food hygiene, health, and safety regulations and implement required legislation.
• Supervise food & beverage areas within the health, fitness, and recreation zones to ensure efficient operation.
• Stay updated on the latest sports, fitness techniques, and equipment, recommending improvements to management.
• Organise sports and social activities for guests and members, incorporating feedback and requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in sport, leisure, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Recreation Manager in an international hotel environment.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Ability to contribute to sales activities and maximise revenue.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and excellent customer‑relation skills.
• Hands‑on professional with a genuine passion for sport and a solid fitness background.
• Result‑oriented, proactive, innovative thinker with leadership and motivational capabilities.
