Room Attendant

About the role

The Room Attendant ensures that guest rooms and designated housekeeping areas are clean, hygienic, and well‑presented in line with hotel and brand standards. This role directly contributes to the overall guest experience by maintaining high levels of cleanliness, comfort, and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Collect daily room assignments, keys, and work instructions from the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Prepare the housekeeping trolley with linen, amenities, cleaning supplies, and equipment before starting each shift.
• Clean and service assigned guest rooms following the correct sequence of tasks and established SOPs.
• Make beds, replace linen, dust, vacuum, mop, polish, and sanitize all room surfaces, fixtures, and furniture.
• Maintain windows, mirrors, glass surfaces, doors, handles, switches, and vents in a spotless condition.
• Replenish room amenities, stationery, supplies, and minibar items, reporting any discrepancies.
• Conduct a final visual inspection to ensure rooms are ready for occupancy or inspection.
• Report rooms requiring additional cleaning, deep cleaning, or maintenance to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
