Senior Application Engineer

About the role

Carrier is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to provide pre‑sales technical support for HVAC and air‑conditioning solutions in Doha. You will work closely with sales, consultants, and contractors to ensure the right equipment is selected and specifications are met.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to sales teams, consultants, and contractors for HVAC systems.
• Select and size equipment such as split units, ducted units, DX‑AHU, packaged units, and VRF systems.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs for compliance with standards and client requirements.
• Prepare and review technical submittals, data sheets, compliance statements, and deviation lists.
• Support pricing and offer preparation with accurate technical inputs.
• Coordinate with factory, product management, and quality teams to resolve technical queries and field issues.
• Deliver technical presentations and product training to internal and external audiences.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of products, industry standards (QCS, ASHRAE, AHRI), and competitor offerings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC system design and application.
• Strong knowledge of air‑conditioning equipment and industry standards.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with sales teams, consultants, contractors, and clients.
