Senior Associate – Domestic Compliance Strategy & Supervision

About the role

The Senior Associate will support the compliance function for QNB’s domestic strategic and supervisory activities in Qatar, helping to identify, assess and mitigate regulatory compliance risks across business divisions and subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing the domestic compliance strategy, providing guidance to business and operations units to reduce regulatory sanctions and reputational risk.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments for domestic activities, prepare inputs for the annual compliance plan, and support reporting to the Board Audit & Compliance Committee.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to build and maintain the compliance self‑assessment framework, risk‑mapping register, and related training programs.
• Provide timely data and support to internal and external auditors, risk, and financial control functions.
• Monitor service level agreements with internal units to improve turnaround times.

Required profile

• Proven experience in domestic regulatory compliance within the banking sector, preferably with knowledge of QCB, QFMA, QFCRA and Qatar Exchange regulations.
• Ability to analyse complex regulatory requirements, develop strategic compliance solutions and support senior management.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with internal departments and regulatory bodies.
