Senior Associate, Settlements

About the role

The Senior Associate, Settlements will manage cardholder disputes and chargeback processes for Commercial Bank in Doha. You will ensure all cases are handled accurately and within the timelines set by Visa, MasterCard and Diners Club schemes, supporting the bank’s commitment to excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process cardholder disputes and chargeback cases in line with scheme rules and timelines.
• Analyse transaction details and supporting documentation to determine the appropriate dispute action.
• Drive cases through each chargeback stage until closure, maintaining precise records.
• Handle incoming responses, taking required actions within stipulated periods.
• Process dispute‑related financial adjustments and ensure accurate case documentation.
• Escalate complex or exceptional cases to senior teams for further review.

Required profile

• Knowledge of Visa, MasterCard and Diners Club chargeback processing.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic speaking is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in settlements or dispute management.
• Strong ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders, work under pressure and maintain high accuracy.
