Senior Construction Lawyer – Leading Law Firm – Doha

About the role

Our client, a leading law firm in Doha, is seeking a senior construction lawyer to strengthen its construction practice. The successful candidate will bring over eight years of post‑qualification experience and will handle both transactional and dispute matters across complex projects.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate construction and engineering contracts.
• Advise clients on major construction and infrastructure projects.
• Manage construction disputes, including litigation, arbitration and other resolution mechanisms.
• Provide counsel on contractual claims, extensions of time, delay, disruption, defects and payment issues.
• Oversee disputes from inception through to resolution, working closely with contractors, developers, consultants and other stakeholders.
• Support business development and contribute to the growth of the construction practice.

Required profile

• 8+ years post‑qualification experience as a qualified lawyer.
• Strong specialist background in construction law, both contentious and non‑contentious work.
• Proven track record in construction litigation and/or arbitration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in the GCC or broader Middle East is advantageous.
