Senior Cost Estimating Engineer

About the role

The Senior Cost Estimating Engineer will lead independent cost estimation and provide cost advice for a range of capital, production, maintenance, HSE and refinery shutdown projects. You will be responsible for delivering accurate cost estimates for in‑house plant modifications aimed at optimizing refinery processes, production efficiency and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end cost estimation for capital and operational projects across the refinery.
• Provide cost advice and support to project teams during planning and execution phases.
• Develop cost models for plant modifications, maintenance activities and HSE initiatives.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to gather cost data and validate assumptions.
• Prepare detailed cost reports, budgets and variance analyses for senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of oil‑and‑gas experience in cost estimation, contractor interface, planning and costing.
• Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Process Engineering from an internationally recognized university.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, CCP or AACE Certified Cost Engineer are a strong asset.
• Fluent written and spoken English with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
