Senior Digital Transformation Engineer

About the role

Lead and execute Qatar Aluminium’s enterprise‑wide digital transformation strategy, defining the roadmap, driving innovation and ensuring technology‑enabled improvements across operations, maintenance, HSSE, administration and corporate functions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the enterprise digital transformation roadmap and oversee program governance.
• Lead cross‑functional workstreams such as digital twins, automation, analytics and change management.
• Manage stakeholder engagement across Operations, Maintenance, HSSE, IT/OT and external vendors.
• Ensure delivery on time, on budget, and compliance with HSE and cybersecurity policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, IT or related field; MBA or Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of program/portfolio management experience and at least 5 years leading digital transformation in heavy industry.
• Proven experience in OT/ICS operations, managing large‑scale technology programs and certifications (PgMP, PMP, PRINCE2).

• IoT, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), AI/ML, analytics tools (Python, R, Power BI).
• MES, PLC, SCADA, digital twins, data management.
• Project management methodologies (PgMP, PMP, PRINCE2).
