Senior Engineer - Transport

About the role

As a Senior Engineer – Transport at AECOM, you will lead the planning, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects in Qatar. You will serve as the primary liaison for clients and stakeholders, ensuring seamless coordination throughout all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop integrated transport strategies, conduct traffic impact studies, feasibility assessments, and corridor efficiency analyses.
• Prepare detailed engineering designs for roadways, intersections, and transport facilities; oversee construction activities and ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards.
• Collaborate with government authorities such as Ashghal and the Ministry of Transport & Communications, as well as contractors and multidisciplinary teams for project approvals and execution.
• Implement sustainable mobility solutions, including multimodal transport strategies and land‑use integration.
• Produce technical reports, drawings, and presentations, maintaining project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in transport engineering, preferably in Qatar or the Middle East.
• Proven expertise in road geometric design, traffic modeling, and sustainable transport strategies.
