Senior IST Switch Developer – Cards

About the role

The Commercial Bank of Qatar is seeking a Senior IST Switch Developer to join its Cards team. You will work on the IST/Switch system, shaping card‑related services, ensuring compliance with payment schemes, and driving new functionality across acquiring and issuing domains.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain IST Switch solutions for the Cards domain.
• Collaborate with business units to translate card‑technology requirements into technical specifications.
• Monitor vendor SLAs, investigate major issues, and produce comprehensive root‑cause analysis reports.
• Ensure compliance with Payment Schemes, Domestic Switch, and internal audit mandates.
• Lead data migration projects, guaranteeing data integrity and optimal performance.
• Evaluate and propose redesigns of card systems to align with emerging industry trends.
• Review vendor proposals and co‑design solutions (PDP/SOW) with external partners.

Required profile

• Minimum of several years of experience developing on IST/Switch platforms.
• Strong background in ATM and POS acquiring environments.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex log messages and resolve issues using ATM/POS utilities.
• Excellent understanding of payment industry protocols and regulatory requirements.
