Senior Java Software Engineer

About the role

The Group Securities, a leading investment organization in Qatar, is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to design and build high‑performance backend services for its brokerage and liquidity‑provider platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure backend services using Java (Spring Boot).
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Architect solutions with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Write unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure high code quality.
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and establish best practices in coding and design.
• Contribute to microservices architecture and participate in design and implementation decisions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to project planning and estimation.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
