Senior Manager – Airport Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations at Hamad International Airport (HIA). The role is the senior authority on shift, responsible for safe, compliant and efficient airport functioning while delivering world‑class service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multi‑disciplinary teams to ensure safety, security, service and quality standards.
• Act as primary liaison with state authorities and keep airlines, agencies and partners informed.
• Oversee staff, equipment and resource allocation to optimise operational performance.
• Manage the Airport Operations Control Centre (AOCC) and ensure KPIs and SLAs are met.
• Provide executive operational reports to senior management.
• Lead emergency response, implement the Airport Emergency Plan and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Maintain business continuity during infrastructure failures.
• Set team objectives, develop talent and represent HIA in operational forums.
• Ensure compliance with ICAO standards, airport regulations, safety, security and data‑protection policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 8 years in senior management.
• Experience in airline passenger services, ramp, baggage and cargo operations.
• Proven background in process re‑engineering, solution design, project and change management.
• Commercial management experience within an airport or airline environment.
• Middle‑East airport experience preferred.
• Completion of aerodrome safety management and ICAO/ACI/IATA training.
